In this Privacy Policy, reference to "Tarakona", "we", "our", "us" or "the Company", shall mean Tarakona Limited.

We will only use your personal information when it is necessary for us to deliver you our services or perform other necessary business functions or activities.

However, you should be aware that we may be required to disclose your personal information without your consent in order to enforce our terms of website use and terms and conditions of supply, protect the rights or property and or safety of Tarakona and its staff or to comply with any court orders, subpoenas or other legal process or investigation including by tax authorities, if such disclosure is required by law. Where possible and appropriate, we will notify you if we are required by law to disclose your personal information.

Your data is stored on secure servers and can only be accessed by authorised Tarakona staff. However, the internet is not in itself a secure environment and we cannot give an absolute assurance that your personal information will be secure at all times. Transmission of personal information over the internet is at your own risk and you should only enter, or instruct the entering of personal information within a secure environment. We will advise you at the first reasonable opportunity upon discovering or being advised of a security breach where you personal information is lost, stolen, accessed, used, disclosed, copied, modified or disposed of by any unauthorised persons or in any unauthorised manner. It is your responsibility to keep your login details, password and security questions in respect of our business with you safe and secure. You should notify us as soon as possible if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your login details, password, or security questions and immediately change that security information promptly.

Email, Text & Telephone Communications

By subscribing to emails and/or text communications, or otherwise providing your email address and/or mobile number, you consent to receiving emails and/or texts (as the case may be) which promote and market our products and services, or the products or services or others, from time to time. You can unsubscribe from our email communications and/or text communications at any time by emailing "info@tarakona.nz" with the subject line "Unsubscribe". Once you have unsubscribed, you will be removed from the corresponding marketing list as soon as is reasonably practicable.

Access or Correct Personal Information

You may request access to the information we hold about you, or request that we update or correct any personal information we hold about you, by setting out your request in writing and sending it to us at "info@tarakona.nz". We will review your request as soon as reasonably practicable. We will only keep your personal information for as long as we require it for the purposes of operating our business. However, we may also be required to keep some of your personal information for specified periods of time, for example under certain laws relating to companies, money laundering and financial reporting legislation.

Credit Card Payments

Tarakona have measures in place to protect your personal information including credit card information. Your credit card details are not held or processed on our website or systems - all transactions are processed through a secure payment service provider. We use Stripe to provide this service for both New Zealand transactions and international transactions. All transactions are processed using encrypted methods. Your credit card details are not held by Tarakona and cannot be accessed by any one our staff members. ​However, they may be held by Stripe; their privacy policy can be found here.

Updates to Privacy Policy
