Matariki Popcorn

2 Tbsp popping corn

1 tsp Matariki tea

1 tsp raw sugar

1 tsp kosher salt

3 Tbsp vegetable oil

  • Grind Matariki tea leaves, salt and sugar in spice grinder.

  • Heat oil in large pot till starting to smoke. Turn down heat to medium.

  • Put in popping corn, cover.

  • Let corn pop until it's mostly stopped then turn off heat, shake pot so any unpopped kernels fall to the bottom.

  • Sprinkle seasoning, cover and shake.

  • Pour into big bowl and enjoy!
